Planets are made of rock for the core and orbit around a system's sun, each have its own habitability score that a species can live on ranging from 0% meaning the species would die if they went to it without what they need, to 100% being usually a replica of the conditions that they came from.

Ex: Humans have a 100% habitability on Earth but on places like Pluto, and Saturrn we would be 0%.

Planets are part of whats known as the Celestial body which ranges from asteroids, stars, to any named object within that body. Each Celestial body contains resources that your empire or another can go and obtain from pets to ores. Your empire can also colonize planets which in turn will increase your border and other species can not travel through unless at war or have border access.

When going to planet to planet or another star system one would use a ship from your empire. To discover a worlds conditions you must send out a science ship to survey it and when completed you will get detailed information from size, habitability percentage, resources etc.

World Types[]

There are four world types that each have its own conditions Habitable, Uninhabitable, Stars and last but not least Special worlds.

Habitable Worlds[]

A habitable world is any that is capable of sustaining advanced organic life. The world suitability depends upon the conditions of the species home world and affects the rate population growth. These worlds can be colonized as well as terraformed.

Tropical

A rocky, humid world with a thick nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and landmasses covered in dense vegetation.
Continental.png
Continental A rocky world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere with a active and stable hydrosphere. Landmasses of great size are separated by a vast ocean. Climate variations depend on latitude and precipitation.
Ocean.png
Ocean A rocky world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and a significant hydrosphere. 90% of the worlds surface is covered in oceans with a few scattered islands.
Arctic.png
Arctic A frigid, rocky world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and poles that are big, covered in significant water deposits that are frozen over.
Tundra.png
Tundra A cold, rock world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and a stable biosphere but vegetation is limited to lichens and mosses. Permafrost covers most of the surface with the exception of temperate equatorial areas.
Arid.png
Arid A dry, rocky world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and dust covered terrain made largely of canyons and mesas. In the temperate polar areas forests can be found but vegetation is scarce.
Desert.png
Desert A dry, rocky world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and major bodies of water are scarce and the world suffers from significant temperature changes from day to night. Vegetation is scarce but a little bit of water can make the desert bloom.

Uninhabitable Worlds[]

An uninhabitable World is any planet that can't support advanced organic life. These worlds cannot be terraformed or colonized but can be a lucrative source for resources.

Frozen.png
Frozen A rocky world covered in a thick layer of permanently frozen ice. Low temperatures and a very thin atmosphere precludes the existence of life on the surface.
Barren (Cold).png
Barren (Cold) A barren and rocky world with a thin or non-existent atmosphere. The surface is covered in meteor impact craters and completely devoid of life. The world is colder then the other type of Barren World.

Gas Giant.png
Gas Giant A gaseous planet with an atmosphere primarily composed of hydrogen and helium surrounding a dense core.
Toxic.png
Toxic A rocky planet with a thick atmosphere that is lethal to all known higher forms of life.
Molten.png
Molten A rocky world that is scorching hot. The atmosphere is thin or non-existent, and lava from the interior flows freely due to constant volcanic eruptions. This type of planet cannot sustain organic life.
Asteroid.png
Asteroid A larger asteroid or planetoid standing out in the dense cluster of smaller bodies.
